Will Reducing Calories and Taking Supplements Help Extend Life?

This news show that some people like Meredith Averill, 61, and her husband, Paul McGlothin, 60, believe they may have the answers and they're putting themselves to the test in their quest for longevity.
The couple have been practicing calorie restriction for the last 14 years. Calorie restriction is the only proven way to extend life in animals and, now, studies are getting started in humans. They explain as calorie restrictors they eat only specific amounts of foods that are high in nutrition but low in calories, foods like vegetables, fruits and beans and the benefits of calorie restriction are astounding, and as some people are taking a different approach in their search for longevity.

TheDr. Terry Grossman says "you need a long-term systematic plan that includes strength training, a healthy diet and meditation. With an emphasis on prevention, he starts with a comprehensive medical exam lasting two full days".

But other experts think that most supplements are a waste of time and money.

Most experts, however, seem to agree that everyone should exercise, eat less and lower their stress levels. And, as for the value of caloric restriction and supplementation to extend life, it will be years before we know for sure.

I think that this idea is well, but I don't believe that taking Supplements Help Extend Life, because is necessary also the help other elements like the excercice everyday.

Book Report 2 "Sherlock Holmes" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

The Final Problem

This chapter is about the most dangerous criminal in London and principal enemy of Holmes, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The story started began when Dr. Watson decided to tell the entire true about what really happened between Sherlock Holmes and the Professor Moriarty his mayor enemy.

In this chapter Sherlock had big problems, his life is endangered because his enemy the professor Moriarty wanted his death, then Holmes planned to visit to Dr. Watson and told him if he wants to come whit him to anywhere, but he believed it was strange for Watson, so Holmes explained that Moriarty is a dangerous criminal and he can stay anywhere in London; and that very soon will be arrested by the police.

In the story Watson explain when was the last time that he saw Holmes, when in occasion he only found a piece of paper that explained all the things about Moriarty, then Watson will say the police all the necessary of the Moriarty group, so the most dangerous criminal and the best detective will confront each other.

Analysis

This story is very impressive and exciting because the detective most famous in the world face up to his mayor criminal where his friend Watson will help in adventure very dangerous, where first the adventure in Raichenbarch falls where Holmes and Watson went there, then Watson moved from London to Switzerland then Paris.
Sherlock want to catch Moriarty who is the principal brain of the European crime, but this mission would be the most difficult in his adventures.

Conclusion

I liked this story because it was more interesting and amazing, besides the end is a mystery because nobody said if Holmes really died or not. Also as the author use elements impressive.

Book Report 1 "Sherlock Holmes" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

The writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is the author of Sherlock Holmes stories, who is the well-known detective in the stories about crime and mystery.
The stories of Sherlock Holmes that I liked more were very interesting because have mystery things, where the main characters are the detective Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr. Watson, besides his principal enemy Professor Moriarty, all happen in London where Sherlock Holmes lived. His duty of Holmes is always solve the crimes of his stories.

The Man with the Twisted Lip

The story "The Man with the Twisted Lip"; written by Sir Arthur Conan, is in London started when the Dr. Watson seen Sherlock Holmes an important detective who investigated the case Mr. Sinclair was disappeared and his wife worried looked help for him, because her husband had been in an opium house for two days; but Holmes had only a pair of clues; the clothes of Mr. Sinclair full with coins outside the opium house and the testimony of Mrs. Sinclair. With the clues the police arrested to a beggar who supposedly had killed to Mr. Sinclair, then Holmes have solved the case; he deduced that the Beggar in the jail was Mr. Sinclair; who explained all the true that he disguised himself like a beggar because this was an easy way to earn money.

Analysis

The story is very interesting, because the author shown an unexpected end of the characters since the reader didn’t imagine how will be the end the story that in this case as Mr. Sinclair was murdered or that was happened with his character.

Conclusion

I believe that the story is an interesting because I enjoy reading this story as a person can live with a double identity to earn more money for to live.

"Raising Arizona" comment

"Raising Arizona" is a film where the main characters have many mishaps.

The main characters are a married couple who want to have children but couldn't, then this couple decides to steal a baby from a family very important.

This film presents many mishaps for this couple who first they couldn't decide which baby steal because the babies were five and very naughties.

Then one day their neighbors visited to see that baby, and later had problems with them.

An important aspect of the story is when the man dreams of a professional murderer who are hunted because they also want the baby and later fulfilled that dream.

Another mishap was when the couple goes shopping without money, because they don't work then the man decided to steal the products, mainly diapers, this creates a chase between police and robbers.

Another mishap is the visit of his friends who had escaped from prison and to know the baby was stolen they also wanted to have it.

At the end of the story the couple repented decided to return the baby to his real family and continue with their lives.

I liked this movie because it was very amusing and original story where the main characters achieved their dream for a moment and they have many adventures in a little village.

If It's Breakfast Time, Fork Over the Dough

It's incredible to listen the news as this where it mention there is an increase of the prices of the product.

This news show that with the cost of food rising at the fastest rate in two decades.
Some of the hardest-hit foods are breakfast staples-including milk, which costs about 20 percent more than it did a year ago; eggs, up 19 percent; coffee, 16 percent; and bread, 11 percent. The cost of wheat to make bread is at an all time high.

It's definitely a serious problem because the price's increse mean it's more expensive to transport food to market. And finally, food prices are driven up by increased demand from the growing middle class in places like India, China, and Latin America.

Currently one person that buy food for the family costs nearly double what it did a year ago and that it buy the exact same amount.
I believe that this situation will be a big problem principally in the countries with low resourses.

Anger

I listened that how untreated anger can make you ill. If you died unexpectedly would you like your organs given to someone who needs them? But should everyone’s organs be up for donation when they die, unless they specifically decide to opt out? Life with coeliac disease. And imagine living in Italy and not being able to eat pasta.

I believe that the anger is a dangerous disease that afect the life many people in the world and that it made to take a decisions as donate organs like in this news explained.

I think this site is interesting, because it show a video about diferents events in the sky, in the begining explain the formation of constelations, next explain the origin of the word zodiac that was for a strip in the space in wich is supposedthe sun, the moon and the earth moves. Also explain about of zodiac signs of cancer and gemini, besides the explanation about of solstice is very interesting, I believe that this information is nice because it learn more about this scientifics events.
