Book Report 1 "Sherlock Holmes" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle


The writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is the author of Sherlock Holmes stories, who is the well-known detective in the stories about crime and mystery.
The stories of Sherlock Holmes that I liked more were very interesting because have mystery things, where the main characters are the detective Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr. Watson, besides his principal enemy Professor Moriarty, all happen in London where Sherlock Holmes lived. His duty of Holmes is always solve the crimes of his stories.

The Man with the Twisted Lip


The story "The Man with the Twisted Lip"; written by Sir Arthur Conan, is in London started when the Dr. Watson seen Sherlock Holmes an important detective who investigated the case Mr. Sinclair was disappeared and his wife worried looked help for him, because her husband had been in an opium house for two days; but Holmes had only a pair of clues; the clothes of Mr. Sinclair full with coins outside the opium house and the testimony of Mrs. Sinclair. With the clues the police arrested to a beggar who supposedly had killed to Mr. Sinclair, then Holmes have solved the case; he deduced that the Beggar in the jail was Mr. Sinclair; who explained all the true that he disguised himself like a beggar because this was an easy way to earn money.

Analysis

The story is very interesting, because the author shown an unexpected end of the characters since the reader didn’t imagine how will be the end the story that in this case as Mr. Sinclair was murdered or that was happened with his character.

Conclusion

I believe that the story is an interesting because I enjoy reading this story as a person can live with a double identity to earn more money for to live.
